Areas We Serve

We're based in Bensalem, PA at our shop on Remo Crescent Rd, and we cover Bucks County and the towns around it, including Bristol, Hulmeville, Penndel, Langhorne, and Lower Southampton. Mobile repair works a little different from a regular shop. Instead of you driving to us, worrying the whole time about whether the car will actually make it, we load up the tools and drive to wherever your car already is. Driveway, work parking lot, side street, it doesn't matter much. The idea behind Michael's Mobile Mechanic is pretty simple: if the car can't come to us safely, we go to the car. That cuts out the tow truck for a lot of jobs, which saves you a step and saves the car from getting dragged around on a flatbed for something that didn't need it.

A lot of our work happens right in someone's driveway or a parking lot, since the whole point of a mobile mechanic is skipping the tow and the shop drop-off. We bring what we need to diagnose the problem and, in most cases, fix it on the spot. That said, not every spot is a good spot to work. A car stalled in a traffic lane or stuck on a narrow shoulder with cars whipping by isn't safe for us or for you standing next to it. If that's where you are, tell us when you call and we'll talk through options, whether that's a safer spot nearby or a short tow to somewhere we can actually get under the hood without worrying about traffic.

Drivers in Bensalem and the surrounding towns call us for the full range of car trouble, from a dead battery that just clicks when you turn the key, to a radiator pushing steam out from under the hood on the drive home. Diagnosis is probably what we hear about most from people, since figuring out what's actually wrong, not just what's throwing a code, is half the job. Some calls aren't even a breakdown. They're someone who took their car to a shop, got a quote that didn't sit right, and wants a second set of eyes before they spend the money. We'll look at the car, explain what we're seeing in plain terms, and let you decide what makes sense from there.

We also get calls from drivers further out in Edgewater Park and Beverly, since we cover the broader Bucks County area and not just the towns sitting closest to the shop. A water pump going bad, a car that needs a jump and then dies again ten minutes later, a tow truck that dropped a car off somewhere and now someone needs the actual repair done, these calls come from all over the area we serve. Distance from Bensalem isn't really the deciding factor for whether we can help. It's more about what the car is doing and whether we can get to it. If you're not sure whether your town is in range, calling and asking is faster than guessing.

When you call, have the year, make, and model of your car ready, along with where it's parked and what it's doing. That small bit of information does a lot of work on our end. A 2008 car acting up is a different conversation than a 2022 one, and whether it's grinding, clicking, overheating, or just dead tells us a lot before we even see it. Where it's parked matters too, since a car in a home driveway is a much easier visit to plan than one sitting on a busy road shoulder. The more specific you can be about what the car is doing right before it acted up, the faster we can start narrowing down what's actually going on underneath.

Once we've got the basics, the next step is just talking through what's going on and figuring out the visit. Sometimes that's a straightforward diagnosis call, where we ask a few questions about noises, warning lights, or how the car's been running lately. Other times it's clear enough from what you're describing that we already have a decent idea before we show up, whether it points toward the brakes, the electrical system, or something with the heating and A/C. Either way, the goal is the same: get a mechanic to your car, figure out what's wrong, and walk you through it honestly so you know what you're dealing with before anything gets fixed.
